What AYVARA does

AYVARA is a film director for short-form content videos. You pick a short video you have made; AYVARA watches it, scores it from 0 to 100 against what actually works in your niche, and writes you a review — what landed, what did not, and what to change next time. Then you can ask it questions about that clip.

Requirements: iPhone, iOS 26 or later.

Getting started

Signing in

Two ways in:

The code has not arrived. Check your spam folder first — that is where it is almost every time. Still nothing after a few minutes: make sure the address is spelled right, then tap Resend. If it still does not come, write to us with the address you used.

The first few questions

After signing in we ask your name and three quick questions — how long you have been creating, where you post, what you are aiming for. The director uses them so its advice fits you rather than a generic creator. There are no wrong answers and you can change them later.

Analysing a video

Which videos work

Short vertical clips — the kind you would post to TikTok, Reels or Shorts. Up to 1 GB and up to 3 minutes long, picked straight from your photo library.

The niches we cover

Five, for now:

Before the analysis starts AYVARA asks which of the five your clip belongs to. Pick one, and it grades the clip against that niche's rubric.

You can also tap Skip and let AYVARA work the niche out from the clip itself.

My video is not one of those

If you tapped Skip and AYVARA could not place the clip in a niche it covers, it brings the picker back and asks you to choose one yourself — this time without Skip, because a clip has to be graded against something.

If none of the five genuinely fits your video, that clip is not one we can score well yet. Close it and try a video that sits in one of them.

We want to know which niches are missing. Write to us. It is the most useful thing you can send us.

What your videos are called

Each analysed video gets a short name of its own — a few words describing what is in the clip — so your library reads as your videos rather than a list of dates. AYVARA writes it from what it saw. If you started the conversation by typing something, that stays the title instead.

How long it takes

From about two minutes, sometimes longer — it depends on how long the clip is and how much is happening in it.

You do not have to sit and watch. Leave the app, lock the phone, go and do something else. The analysis finishes on our side and will be waiting when you come back.

Notifications

An analysis takes a couple of minutes and you are not meant to sit and watch it. Turn notifications on and AYVARA tells you the moment your review is ready — upload the clip, leave the app, get on with your day.

We never ask out of the blue. On the screen that analyses your clip there is a Notify me button: tap it and iPhone asks your permission. If you said no and have changed your mind, the same button takes you to the right place — or go to iPhone Settings → Ayvara → Notifications.

The notification says Your director’s review is ready, and underneath it names the clip in a few words — "Woman walking on treadmill" — so you can tell which one it is when you have more than one going. Those words come from what the video shows, and they are written in the same language as your review. Your score is never in it, and neither is anything the director wrote.

If you would rather nothing about the clip appeared on your lock screen, iPhone already has the setting: iPhone Settings → Notifications → Ayvara → Show Previews → Never. Then the notification reads just "Your director’s review is ready", and the clip's name appears only once you unlock.

How many per day

25 analyses per day per person. The limit resets every 24 hours.

Follow-up questions in the chat do not count against it — ask as many as you like.

Your score

The number is worked out by our own code, not guessed by a model. Each part of the clip — the hook, the energy, the emotion, the production — is graded separately against the rubric for your niche, penalties are applied for specific problems, and the total is computed from that.

Which is why the director cannot change your score, and neither can we. It reports what the scoring produced and explains it.

The score looks wrong to you. Say so in the chat — ask why it graded a part the way it did, and it will explain what it saw. And write to us: we read videos alongside the reviews they got, and where we find the scoring was wrong, we fix it for everybody. That is how AYVARA gets better.

Your videos and your data

Removing a video

Press and hold the video's card on the home screen, then choose Delete. It asks you to confirm, and then the video, its analysis and its conversation are gone for good.

An analysis still running can be stopped from the processing screen — Cancel analysis — and the clip is discarded with it.

Deleting your account

Settings → Delete account.

This removes everything: your account, your videos, every analysis, every conversation. It is permanent and it cannot be undone. Your original clips stay untouched in your phone's photo library.

Helping us improve AYVARA

Two things run under one setting. We record how the app is used, so we can see where people get stuck — and that recording shows what is on your screen, your own video included. And we watch uploaded videos next to the reviews our system wrote for them, so we can correct the scoring where it was wrong.

Settings → Privacy → Help improve AYVARA turns off both, immediately.

Common problems

The video will not upload, or is taking far too long. Cancel it and upload the same clip again — that often just fixes it, and you do not need to close the app or restart anything. If it keeps failing, check the connection and that the clip is under 1 GB and no longer than 3 minutes. Uploads do survive the app being closed, so if you left mid-upload it is probably still running — reopen the app and look at the home screen.

A video is stuck analysing. Close the app and open it again; we pick up where we left off. If it is still stuck after a few hours, write to us with roughly when you uploaded it.

No notification when the analysis finishes. Check that notifications are allowed: iPhone Settings → Ayvara → Notifications. A phone in Focus or Do Not Disturb holds them back too. Nothing is shown while you are actually looking at the app — the review simply appears.

Dictation is not hearing me. The microphone permission is off. iPhone Settings → Ayvara → Microphone.

The app looks empty after signing in. If this is a new account, it is — upload a video and the first card appears.
